Insomnia by Adrian Iorga is a gorgeous illustration that feels as heavy as insomnia is described.
I love this gothic inky rendition of Fear of the Dark by Tolga Girgin. Dave is a big Iron Maiden fan, so this one's dedicated to him <3
A Friend of Mine created the logo, packaging, and corporate identity for Waffee, a chain selling waffles and coffee. The letters forming the distinctive waffle pattern is simply brilliant! As perfect as the logo is, their raccoon mascots are adorable. Go over to their site to see how they handled the signage and the whole series of cute raccoon cartoons!
Tariq Yosef of Tariq Design did a stunning job on these graphics for Connect Group. I especially like seeing the artwork on it's on and installed!
Roadkill Customs is a site I never would have been browsing since I don't need parts for custom vintage cars. But I am so glad I found their awesome photo galleries! These are a selection from their "Door Art and Lettering" gallery.
Paula Scher is a map making genius. Her work is a gorgeous intersection where topography meets typography. Click through to her website to these maps larger and rest of the amazing series.
I love both the sayings and the lettering that Laura Dillema has created. Her portfolio is filled with beautiful hand drawn words and phrases. I'm a firm believer of making mistakes as part of the learning process so her work resonates with me.
The light on black background really makes Chill by Jordan Metcalf stand out! Easy going lettering and the casual presentation suit the work perfectly!
Ohn Mar Win shows her path from concept to final project in this Skill Share post. I especially like her use of the stylized key to use as the E.
