I have bookmarked this great article about choosing your words carefully mainly because of the awesome lists of words and when to use them. I believe in the power of words and using meanings and connotations to evoke a mode or feeling. Since I spend many hours each week writing I really like having a resource like this for when I'm struggling for the correct whatchamacallits!
Ohn Mar Win shows her path from concept to final project in this Skill Share post. I especially like her use of the stylized key to use as the E.
I love the concept of an artsy flea market pop up and Travis W. Simon has created a cohesive, quirky concept for Artist & Fleas signage. It's clean and easy to read with a mid-century vibe and a circus-y color scheme.
This Sixty Watts gig poster by Silence TV is just perfect! The broken neon sign is a clever riff on the band name.
I really appreciate that Marina Chaccur shows so much of her process over on her Flickr feed. Lucky Day Sketch is fabulous to see in this early stage.
Hungry In Turn is an brilliant self promo series by Ilona Samcewicz-Parham. It was created as an internship application for Hungry Workshop. Of course she was successful!
If you follow this blog, you know both Dave and I are having fun learning about and playing with crypto currency. On July 19, 2014 we launched our own alt coin, Robot Sex Nickels. We have a growing community and we stay active on our IRC channel, #RobotSexNickels. Stay tuned to this blog, the Bit Coin Talk Announcement, or follow @RobotSexNickels on Twitter to keep up to date on the coin and the launch of our first online game!
I really like the sentiment and the design of this poster by Zachary Smith. The soft gray compliments the swirly graphics beautifully!
